Box Score

Apr. 15, 2006

With a combined 10 points, Kelsea Adams and Katie Flinn help the jackets come back from a four goal deficit to beat the Tigers in the first of two conference games on April 15th.  With the win, the Jackets hope to secure a spot in the upcoming Southeastern Women's Lacrosse League playoffs.

Auburn scored a quick 3 goals to go up on Tech within the first five minutes of the game.  Afterwards, Tech steadies their defense and begins to slowly chip away at the Tigers' lead. The score at the end of the half showed a more even game as Auburn lead 6-3.  While the score for the rest of the half was more even, Tech was still in the hole 3 goals.

The Yellow Jackets exploded in the second half, rattling off 9 goals to Auburn's 3 over the first 29 minutes of the half.  GT lead 12 to 9, but Auburn would not go down so easily.  Auburn rallied back with two goals in the last 30 seconds to cut the lead to 1.  Tech won the final draw and was able to hold on for the 12-11 win.
